"Ow."
"Ow ow ow ow ow, you sonofabiatch!"
Me, last night, between 10 and 10.30 pm. Found the bike, got back on the bike, but because of the lateness of the hour, only did half an hour, or 300 calories of biking - enough, basically, to negate my Weetabix breakfast (if you don't count the milk). It was generally more symbolic than anything - except by the time I'd biked my way through 20 calories I was in agony and system shock and wanting pretty much to die. Oddly enough, by the time I got to calorie 300, I was feeling much better about the whole thing.
This morning, I did another half hour before going down for breakfast, another 300 to negate the three Weetabix and banana (and yes, I'm aware it probably doesn't, exactly, and believe me, there will be investigation of calorie charts to find out exactly what I'm talking about, but it's an approximation for now).
In addition to the negated breakfast, today I've eaten - one can cold Cream of Chicken Soup, two bread rolls (probably bad, but damn!), one portion, small, of rice with chicken and sausage (home-made), and this evening, one jacket potato, medium, with some mushroom ravioli in a thin parmesan sauce. Also, one apple, one banana for snacking throughout the day, two mugs of coffee. Probably good in terms of the milk used compared to normal, obviously not ideal in terms of the carbfest, but feel properly full and satisfied and groovy, and have also drunk more water than normal.
Not entirely convinced I won't go back and do another half-hour of biking tonight...but we'll see. Been powering through work today, but all of it is of course entirely sedentary (I appear to have contrived to do two jobs...both of which involve sitting on my ass - coincidence? Subconscious self-punishment? Who knows, or indeed cares?).
But the bike-back has at least begun, as I said it would, and when I said it would. In itself, this is rather pleasing, as it shows my subconscious mind I mean business. Tomorrow, will hopefully up the biking to an hour, which will bite into the calorific intake for the day in a more meaningful way. So - I'm on the road again (on the road again...) and I have until Saturday to lose 2 pounds. Personally, I'd love to lose three, as that would take me back into the 18s, but two is the recommended weekly loss, so as long as that's achieved, I'll be good.
